The HEAT teaches Soldiers how to react in a vehicle rollover situation

The HEAT teaches Soldiers how to react in a vehicle rollover situation and egress the vehicle quickly. Since its deployment to Southwest Asia, HEAT has been credited with saving dozens of Soldiers' lives. The TARDEC HEAT trainer has become the U.S. Army standard for egress training and has been made part of required training for all Soldiers.

AVCATT (Aviation Combined Arms Tactical Trainer)

An aircrew from the Louisiana National Guard uses the AVCATT (Aviation Combined Arms Tactical Trainer) during mobility training at Fort Sill, Okla. The simulator also affords the air crews the opportunity to perform many tasks that would otherwise be costly. They can work on their communications checks, their unit standard operating procedures and flight operations without wasting the $3,000 plus blade hour per aircraft.
