This is the Guidant defibrillator that was implanted in May of 2003 after I survived an episode of cardiac arrest, Whew! It replaced my old pacemaker, and is a pacemaker/defibrillator, better known as an AICD, Automatic Implantable Cardiac Device. This device was removed and replaced with a new one on March 21st, 2007, the 1st day of spring.
