Sy Hersh at Columbia University

Seymour Hersh on April 14, 2006 when he participated on a panel discussion on "Reporting War" at Low Library Rotunda of Columbia University, April 14, 2006 (Co-sponsored by the Heyman Center for the Humanities and The Columbia University Human Rights Seminar). From the Program Notes: "Seymour Hirsh is an investigative gournalist and contributes regularly to The New Yorker magazine on military and security matters. His work first gained worldwide recognition in 1969 for exposing the My Lai massacre and its cover-up during the Vietnam War, for which he received the 1970 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting. His 2004 reports on the US Military's treatment of detainees at Abu Ghrab prison. In addition to the Pulitzer Prize, Hersh has been awarded five George Polk Awards, and more than a dozen other prizes, many of them for his work at the New York Times.
