Nokia and IBM today announced IBM Lotus Notes support for a number of Nokia's S60-based mobile phones, meaning that millions of Lotus Notes users are now able to access email with their Nokia devices. This also represents a significant market opportunity for IBM Lotus Notes -- which has 140 million licensed users -- with many Nokia customers now able to purchase Lotus Notes and access its collaboration capabilities on the go.

IBM today unveiled new and enhanced solutions, products and services, which unite with capabilities from its strategic acquisition of Cognos, to put the right information into the hands of clients when they need it. The new IBM-Cognos offerings also deliver key business insights that clients can use for competitive advantage in response to changing market demands.

IBM's acquisition of Cognos is helping the company extend its lead over competitors in the global market opportunity to help clients make better use of information, improve business processes and maximize performance across their enterprises. The Cognos acquisition supports IBM's objective for earnings-per-share growth through 2010.
