The Manportable Chemical Agent Detector (MCAD) is capable of detecting and identifying the full range of classical Chemical Warfare Agents (CWAs) and detecting 9 Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TICs). MCAD is a point detector, which will quantify the CWA it is configured to respond to.
The Lightweight Chemical Agent Detector (LCAD)
The Lightweight Chemical Agent Detector (LCAD) is designed to detect classical Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA) and alarm at attack level concentrations. It forms part of a two-tier detection capability with the Manportable Chemical Agent Detector (MCAD).
