Defense Satellite Communications System puts a lid on things Photo by Sgt. Jack W. Carlson III June 30, 2008 On June 20, during a calm Friday morning, the SATCOM Systems Company installed the "lid" onto the second Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) located at the Missile Defense Complex. An event that most personnel on site took the opportunity to witness, this is the final "golf ball" to dominate the terrain on the remote Alaskan outpost of Fort Greely.
